First Trinity Hostel has been welcoming overnight guests since the early 1990's. From scout troops to college alternative break groups to community organizers – we have had guests from all over the country and of all ages come through our doors. 

 

Our Mission

The mission of First Trinity Hostel (a ministry of First Trinity Lutheran Church) is to be a place of welcome for groups of all kinds that wish to serve in, learn about, or explore Washington, DC. 

Located in the heart of downtown, First Trinity is just blocks away from the National Mall and Chinatown with easy metro access to many other DC destinations.

First Trinity Lutheran Church has been serving the people of Washington, DC since 1851. First Trinity is a diverse community in mission, an intentionally inclusive congregation, welcoming all to our worship and ministries. MINISTRIES of First Trinity

Community Family Life Services: CFLS is a nonprofit organization that provides housing, case management, employment counseling, mentoring, youth development, and emergency services to low-income and homeless individuals and families in Washington, DC. 

New Course Restaurant and Catering: New Course exists to train homeless and chronically unemployed men and women for a future in the food service industry by providing hands-on culinary arts training. 

Lifeline Partnership: Lifeline provides social and spiritual programs for teens and adults with developmental disabilities. We provide community and a sense of belonging to those who are often marginalized because of their disability.
