Who can stay with us?

Anyone! We welcome all kinds of groups – as long as your group is 5 or more people and you are not planning to use the building for profit, you are welcome at First Trinity Hostel. 

What is the Cost?

Our rate is $27 per person per night. For more info about payments or deposit policies, visit our Policies page. 

Does our group have to be faith-based?

Groups are not required to be faith-based. All are welcome. 

Where are you located?  

4th and E Streets NW, Washington, DC 20001. See our Location page for a map and more details about the area. 

Can we arrive via public transportation?

Absolutely! Our hostel is about a 10-15 minute walk (or one quick metro stop) from Union Station which is where you will find Amtrak trains, the MARC train, and a variety of bus options including Megabus, Bolt Bus, and Greyhound buses. You can also arrive by metro from Reagan National Airport with one transfer - it's about 35 minutes of metro travel. 

Is parking available? 

We do not have onsite parking available unfortunately – it can be pretty tricky to come by in this area. However, we do recommend an app/website called Spot Hero that is a good resource for finding places to park. One of our favorite lots to recommend is a surface lot on the corner of 4th and K Streets NW (5 blocks north of the hostel). It can accommodate large vans.  

How do we get around DC while we are there? 

Our location is incredibly close to the metro – so that is probably your best option for most of your transportation. For a metro map and more area information, see our Location page. Parking is usually pretty expensive so we only recommend driving to areas that you know in advance are not metro accessible. And of course don’t forget your walking shoes! 

What is your facility like? 

Our facility is located in the lowest level of First Trinity Lutheran Church. For more information, see our Facility page. 

Do you have WIFI? 

We do have WIFI available at First Trinity, and you will receive the password upon arrival. 

How do I make a reservation? 

We ask you to fill out a form to make an inquiry about a reservation. When we receive your $250 security deposit, we will officially book your stay. Will we have the space to ourselves while we are there? 

Because we have a 50-mattress capacity, we often have groups sharing the space during their stays. For more information on space sharing, see our Space Sharing page. 

We also have occasional church events in the Fellowship Hall, which is the eating and overflow sleeping area in the center of the hostel floor. We will notify you as soon as we are able to if there are times that we need you to be out of the hostel due to other scheduled events.
